Weather the Storm

Short Blog for Saturday.  I am taking my own advice and living like a kid this weekend. I hope you are doing the same. The following is from a nonfiction book I am working on called “CDR’s 10 Keys to Happiness:  A Guide Book for the Rest of Us.”

“Life is hard and the truth is none of us are getting out of here alive. We only have so many hours on this Earth and it is up to us how we spend those hours. Life is too short to live unhappy. Sure storms and tragedies will arise and some may knock us off our feet, but as you hit the ground remember everybody has a sad story. It is not the sad story that is going to define us in the end. It is the way we stood inside the storm.  It is the way we walked through to the other side.  It is the way we picked up the pieces and rebuilt our lives that will matter most. Great stories are not written about those who lie down and die. They are written about those who weather the storm with courage and strength poised to come out on the other end to conquer the world.” CDR
